PARADISE CAY HORSES REPRESENT DURING THE PARADE OF BREEDS EVENT
Sunday, October 12th Paradise Cay Arabians, Blythewood, SC headed to Monroe, NC to participate in the Parade of Breeds event to benefit the United States Equine Rescue League (USERL).  This event brought together over 20 breeds and gave the public an opportunity to get up close and personal with many horses, farms and owners.  From Mini’s to Morgans; Percheron’s to Paso Finos; many fine breeds were represented and our fillies–Asils Emira (Thee Asil x Desperado’s Pride) and Aaliyah Amirah (Thee Desperado x Aaliyah PA) showed the world the beauty, intelligence, and loving companion that is the Straight Egyptian Arabian.

Chetola Farms hosted the event where folks could interact with the breeds at their stalls; learn more about them from their farms; and watch them in the covered arena as they each took center stage.  All visitors to our stalls were so thrilled to meet our pure Egyptian Arabians.  They remarked about their beauty and friendliness and thought they were very elegant and majestic in the ring.  We met so many people who love horses and who fell in love all over again with them when they met our girls.  We thank Chetola Farms for having us and we were very happy to help the USERL in the process.

IBN SAFINAZ PASSES AWAY
The Egyptian Arabian horse community suffered a great loss recently with the passsing of *Ibn Safinaz. His caretaker Anne-Louise Toner had the following to say regarding this loss: "It is with a very heavy heart that I write to let you know of the passing of the beautiful *Ibn Safinaz this evening [Wednesday, September 3]. His last summer was spent in a green, grassy paddock, next to the mares and foals at the back of our property, and has has been a happy, charming, opinionated old gentleman who has now left a huge void in our hearts. He spent this afternoon grazing, and teasing a mare who is coming into heat and seemed to suffer a mild heart attack or stroke. He spent the last hours grazing and talking to his yearling granddaughter, but we knew that it was time for this most dignified of souls to have a peaceful and dignified farewell. *Ibn Safinaz is, as I am sure important to many of you for being the charismatic, athletic show horse and sire whose offspring have been influential world-wide. For those of us who have been fortunate enough to spend any time with this grand old man, he has been a good and honest friend and I cannot begin to tell you how dearly we loved him". -Anne-Louise
