About Us

Meierotto Arabians is a small family farm in northern Wisconsin.  Arabians have always been a part of this farm but the family soon realized the importance of preserving Straight Egyptian bloodlines by “breeding the best to the best.”  We believe the Straight Egyptian Arabian possesses the best qualities to enhance the Arabian breed.  Our horses have some of the best Straight Egyptian bloodlines, such as:  Thee Desperado, The Atticus, Thee Asil, Alixir and Mishaal HP, just to name a few.

Our Farm

History

The whole family is involved with horses. Our daughters, Gena, Janelle and Angela, have grown up competing with their Arabians in speed events, qualifying with the best in the Western Saddle Club Association Championship Shows in the Midwest and competing in many 4-H speed events. We love the Egyptian Arabians' endurance, patience and dedication to our family. Versatility, intelligence, and beauty are only a few words to describe this great breed and these traits are just a few that we look for in all of our horses.

Our Horses

We started breeding Egyptian Arabians after one of our daughters had purchased a Straight Egyptian gelding.  After seeing this horse's great qualities and accomplishments, we purchased his dam, MB Minuet.  We then traveled to Waco, TX to attend a business seminar hosted by Arabians Ltd. and see in person MB Minuets sire, Thee Desperado.  Soon after returning from Texas, MH Roxy Hart, MB Minuets daughter was for sale.  We discovered she was eligible to show at that year's Egyptian Event, we quickly purchased her and took her to the show.  Since then, we have continued the tradition of breeding and preserving the special bloodlines of the Egyptian Arabian horse.

Below are descriptions of our horses and their accomplishments:
 

MB Minuet

Our foundation mare, MB Minuet (Thee Desperado x Imperial Saahoura) is a gorgeous 1995 bay mare that has proven to be an outstanding broodmare.  Minuets sire, Thee Desperado, was named 1994 U.S. Nationals Reserve Champion Stallion.  With this successful bloodline, her foals are wonderful horses both in and out of the show ring.  Just look at their accomplishments:

The Maestroo (The Atticus x MB Minuet) a 2000 bay gelding, placed top five in the Yearling Futurity Straight Egyptian Colts at the Egyptian Event in 2001.  This lovely gelding was purchased by our daughter when he was 3 years old and he is the reason why we have come to love the Egyptian Arabian horse.

M.H. Roxy Hart

MH Roxy Hart (Thee Asil x MB Minuet) a 2003 bay mare, “rocked” at the Egyptian Event in 2005 by placing in the  top five in the Futurity Two Year Old Fillies class and placing first in the Shoot-Out Two Year Old Straight Egyptian Fillies AOTH class with Donna on the lead. 

Our newest addition, Minuets Legacy (Alixir x MB Minuet) is a handsome colt born in 2007 and promises to continue Minuet’s “Legacy” in the show ring.  He is nominated for Arabian Horse Association and Egyptian Event Futurities.  He would be a great addition to any breeding program.  Don’t let the opportunity to own this great colt pass you by!  Please contact Donna for more information about this exciting colt.
