Amy L.
Thornton, an award winning photographer from Fayette County, West
Virginia, has been indulging her passion for photography since 1992.
Beginning with capturing the rugged beauty of West Virginia, Amy’s
vision has expanded toward creating specialized portraits,
commercial services and fine art prints with a special love for
equine subjects.
In 2003 Amy started her own photography business, Natural Elements
Photography, which is built on the philosophy that people and
animals alike are best photographed in scenic surroundings with
natural light to produce honest smiles and expressions. “Celebrating
the light inside of life” remains her pure motivation she says.
Amy has published her work through the Kentucky Horse Park, the New
River Convention/Visitors Bureau, the Pyramid Society, Arabian Horse
Newspaper, Verizon and Breyer. She has consistently earned blue
ribbons in print competition with the Professional Photographers of
WV and in 2007, earned the prestigious Fujifilm Masterpiece Award in
the Illustrative category for her print titled “Thunder Valley”, a
part of her Great American West Collection.
Now, for the first time in 2007, Amy is using her equine images in
cooperation with Gina Alexander Inc. handbags to create a unique
line of stylish accessories. Now you can display your passion for
horses everywhere you go!
